New Believers
For New Christians:
Congratulations if you have turned from sin and put your faith in Jesus to save you.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)i
You have a new life in Jesus!
It is good to grow in your relationship with God. He has a plan and purpose for your life.
Here are some important suggestions to help you in your new life:
- PRAY. Prayer is talking to God. There is no formula. Just start talking to God. Praise Him. Thank Him. Ask Him for help and guidance. Pray for other people.
- READ THE BIBLE. The Bible is God’s Word. His will is in the Bible. God can speak to you through the Bible. It has two main parts, the Old Testament (before Jesus) and the New Testament (from Jesus until now). You can start in the New Testament. Try reading the Gospel of Mark.
- GO TO CHURCH. There is power when we join with others to praise and worship God. We hear the Word of God in church. We receive encouragement and direction.
- FELLOWSHIP. Get to know good Christian people that are saved (born-again). Make new Christian friends.
- TELL OTHERS. If possible, tell your friends, co-workers and family about your decision to follow Jesus. Share with them the good things God has done for you and how they can be saved too.
